Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

“ Did you know re the new rules that if you get a black card then you only have to leave 2 up? ” .
Mate that it is totally incomprehensible to me , and I’m someone who has a comprehension knowledge of rugby , understands cricket and golf, professes to understand American Football and is vaguely aware of the rules of ice hockey and shinty 🙂
A black card is issued in Gaelic Football for a cynical foul. It is a sin bin offence.

A team must have 3 attacking players in the other half at all times (new rule this season) with the exception of if they have lost a man to a black card.

Thanks . I like that idea for football as we know it . A Black card for someone cynically stopping an attacker running past them , 10 mins in the sin bin like rugby .
We also need to protect those poor players who go down in agony clutching their face/head at the slightest touch . They could be concussed , take them off for a Head Injury Assessment and allow a sub until they’re back . I suspect we’d have less “ head injuries “.

Hello everybody. A much calmer day today. We've managed to prop the fence up until we can get someone to come out and fix it. Absolutely clear blue skies so I reckon it will be freezing tonight. This morning I went to the gym, did an aqua aerobics class and did the food shopping. I think we're organised for our trip to Dublin next week.
Just seen Beto is on for Dom. Poor lad - he has no luck. Hopefully nothing too serious.

Three years ago I started a project to replace my garden fence , wooden posts which kept snapping at ground level and trellis- type panels always breaking. Very strong southerly winds just whipped across the fields unhindered and often broke a post causing the whole fence to panel to fall and put weight on the next post . Always in a winter storm , usually 6 o’clock at night when it was dark , trying to get it back in place it was a nightmare. I got a builder to put in concrete posts and slide in solid panels , unheard of in this part of Scotland , I think I put some photos on here at the time. So far so good 🤞. Propping up fences in the middle of a storm is a nightmare, well done on getting it done.

Is there a better view in test cricket? Stunning with Table Mountain in the background. Capacity crowd who were well up for it too. Bit one sided for the neutrals but the home fans were happy.

Great result, we defended well the 2nd half

Night and day to what Dyche delivered - a game plan with desire and workrate.

Sounds like DCL and Mangala could be out for a while listening to Moysie after the game
Onwards and Upwards
Looks like I got it all wrong. We are playing so much better and the results are wonderful. I hold my hands up “he’s got red/grey hair and I don’t care 🎶 “. I hope it continues 🤞
