Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I’ve tried to get onboard with Olives.
But they just taste like aids to me.
I know people who are like proper genuinely into eating them. Like a cult they are.
My wife loves olives. I’ve tried them a bunch of times, even in Crete where I assumed they’d be at their best.

I can’t top your description so I won’t even try: AIDS.

It’s an idea I’ve had from the new craze called the graze table. It was lovely and really complimented the meat and cheese TBF, will probable be eat it a lot over the festive period but I understand it’s not for everyone. View attachment 149598
Is that for one ? they will need to wheel you around in a wheelbarrow. Some nice stuff on there though ,wouldn't mind grazing that for a while .

Good morning all and sundry .A slight relax as only 6/7 pages to go through .
It is weird that we all have different likings in food ,there are few things I won't eat -Salted cod I think it was called here it is cod marinated in lye,who was it that said "hey that stuff you use to clear the drains ,you couldn't marinade that fish in it could you ?"
We have a "dessert" here which is rye bread soaked in cream and sugar on top ,lots of Finns don't like it but I love it .
We also have a pie which is rye bread dough rolled out and then headless Vendace (small salmon family fish) topped with strips of pork belly wrapped and cooked all day ,then out of the oven wrapped in newspaper and left for another day -served slightly warmed with butter spread on it .
I don't suppose I need to mention we have a lot of rye bread here !
Have a safe and happy day campers .

Yo blue you certainly seem well adjusted to life just south of the North Pole.

Do you ski everywhere in winter and drink vodka instead of tea?

Must admit I'm partial to the odd bit of rye bread but all that ruffage must cause you to be going to the loo more often which is surely a problem when you are wearing sallopettes all the time lol .

Anyway I hope that you had a lovely Christmas, do you have bank Holiday today as well?

Enough food and drink for me and back to the gym to kick start my fitness regime.

@anjelikaferrett , hope you got some kip before watching the cricket.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all, still cloudy here, seems ages since we saw the sun. Nothing planned for today, should have gone to son and family but they are isolating due to a positive test. He bought me Howard’s Way for Christmas so will probably settle down to watch that later. How’s the head @Barnfred 55 , better I hope. Have a good day everyone.
I love that film. Truly a labour of love. Any football fan would like it- as proven by many of my Newcastle/Sunderland/Middlesbrough supporting mates who have told me they have watched it and how much they enjoyed it.
