Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, still cloudy here, seems ages since we saw the sun. Nothing planned for today, should have gone to son and family but they are isolating due to a positive test. He bought me Howard’s Way for Christmas so will probably settle down to watch that later. How’s the head @Barnfred 55 , better I hope. Have a good day everyone.
Not too bad today thanks Gwladys. Might have the full English for lunch that I put off from yesterday.

Morning everyone. Hope you are well and in good spirits. How are your limbs doing today Terrarian and Blue Harp. Hope you're not in too much pain.

Have a good day all. Can I suggest that you aid that goal by steering clear of the cricket. Don't do it to yourselves.

Good morning gang, off down to Merseyside this morning just going to take a quick test, wouldn't want to take the Larbert variant down it gives folk a compulsion to drink 70 shilling ale and eat scotch pies.
Not much snow about thankfully so should be a decent run down.
Hope everyone has recovered okay from their 2 day excesses and as far as the cricket goes, I've given up on them, apart from Joe and Jimmy we don't seem to have anyone playing that are anywhere near world class.

Here in the north east they have wensleydale cheese with Christmas Cake. My late mother in law introduced me to the concept. It is a surprisingly good combination.
Red wine and dates is one of those combinations that shouldn't work, but does. You'd think the sweetness of the dates would make the wine taste like vinegar, but they go surprisingly well together.

I'm not too bad again today thanks Fred, had a relatively pain free few days for me, well minimum pain, it never goes completely. Just walked Daisy and chilling now.

Yo blue you certainly seem well adjusted to life just south of the North Pole.

Do you ski everywhere in winter and drink vodka instead of tea?

Must admit I'm partial to the odd bit of rye bread but all that ruffage must cause you to be going to the loo more often which is surely a problem when you are wearing sallopettes all the time lol .

Anyway I hope that you had a lovely Christmas, do you have bank Holiday today as well?

Enough food and drink for me and back to the gym to kick start my fitness regime.

@anjelikaferrett , hope you got some kip before watching the cricket.

Have a great day everyone.
I might have painted the wrong picture on here ,as long as you have the correct clothes this is a fantastic place to live -it is usually voted the happiest place to live ,year on year -we have four seasons which is something I love even though spring can be less than a fortnight long ,once the snow melts it is summer .
I am not really a strong drink kind of person ,beer and wine will do me .
Yes we have the same days but in a different order , it is very Western European here not at all Russian although the architecture is but don't tell the wife as they all hate the Russians for what they have done in the past .
On the rye bread front ,when I arrived I thought I was eating cardboard but now if we travel the first thing I want back home is rye bread .
We went shopping today and it was thermals ,padded pants ,down jacket and a hat with earmuffs built in as it was -19° with a wind .
All the very best to you for the coming year .
P.S. don't forget the blue cheese ,with a nice ruby port .

Good morning. Totally alcohol free day yesterday. My son however - who was watching the cricket with me - was heavily into a bottle of Grey Goose his girlfriend bought him for Christmas. I haven't heard any signs of life from him yet. My daughter, aged 24 went to her first football match yesterday. I've never been able to persuade her to come to Goodison. One of her presents to her boyfriend was to take him to a Middlesbrough match so they went yesterday. She loved it. No stress buying tickets, just turn up on the day and get them.

No plans for today. Still a bit damp and drizzly here, one of those grey days. I can feel another lazy day coming on (what again?) Me and the husband have decided to go to the beach tomorrow for a nice long walk along the seafront. Currently deciding between Redcar and Seaton Carew. This will obviously include fish and chips and an ice cream eaten outside in the teeth of a howling gale sweeping in off the North Sea.

@larbert toffee safe journey to Liverpool. I'm still trying to find a couple of days when we can go. Also depends on any new restrictions that may be imposed. @Terrarian Glad you are having an alright day and that you and Daisy have had a nice walk.

Enjoy folks x
