Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Thinking of you Fred mate, stay strong.

I finally get to go and see the family today, everyone is out of isolation and they're heading home tomorrow so I will go and have a brew and say hello.

Thinking I might have a steak with blue cheese later, might see if I can make a blue cheese sauce but i don't have any cornflour.
No need mate. Just put a big dollop of Stilton on top of your steak and stick it under a hot grill for a minute. Job done.

Never thought of that, I normally just put the steak on top of the cheese, I have some lovely Shropshire Blue today, and the heat melts it, seems easy enough to melt it on the grill though, don't need cornflour then, cheers Fred lol

We have just eaten breakfast and we were talking ,one of the wife's old friends has requested to be friends on Facebook with her .
It brings back memories ,her husband was the M.D. of a big shipping company -they bring and take cars all over the world ,anyway he picks every item of her clothes and I mean every item ,tells her what to wear and when they dine out he decides what she will eat ! We cannot understand how and why that can happen .
So sore elbow or not I have to get wood in for the sauna and a few other small essential jobs ,then I am cooking that lamb's neck ,which has to be cooked for hours meaning I have to start quite early as we have a sauna before the match . No rest for the wicked .
I don't know mate. Cal used to pick my clothes. In fact she probably did 90% of my clothes shopping. She argued that she was the one who had to stand next to me when we were out and she didn't want to be seen hanging out with a scruffbag. Suited me as I loathe shopping.

I draw the line at food though.

Dull and misty here today. Son and family are coming for Christmas tea today. They couldn’t come before due to positive tests. Am going to put some Christmas stuff out - small tree, plates and dishes etc. even have some crackers so will be a bit of a celebration. Just hope Everton don’t put a dampener on it. Hope those suffering with pain find it eased today (even the self-inflicted @anjelikaferrett lol) Have a good day all.

Yes my Stepdad was the same but he even picks all her underwear ,even though she found some of it uncomfortable he made her wear it .
It is time for me to confess I swap shirts and pants with the wife as we are the same height ,she mostly wears my shirts but I bought two pairs of pants and she wore them for work.
Just to add a bit of spice to your day Fred ,by the way is the invite still on ?
I have in the last few minutes heard that all my wife's family have the virus ,she only has one sister but them and the kids and grandkids have all got it ,thirteen in total .

Morning all,

@Barnfred 55 I'll be thinking about you today Fred. A day to remember how lucky you were to have shared so many years with such an amazing woman. Good luck planting those bulbs today. ;)

Right, I'm off to Tesco to pick up a few bits and bobs before it gets too busy. Will do a bit of a thread catch up later. Don't worry, I've got me wallet this time.

Have a great day everyone.
