Good morning everybody. Bit breezy at the moment but nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. The worst thing that happened in our school was that a Maths teacher ( civilian, not a nun) stole all the money that had been collected for a skiing trip to Austria. Parents would pay so much a week off and she robbed the lot. We were all locked in the gym for hours while the school was searched. We never saw her again. Years later we found out that they had been suspicious of her for a while - money had been going missing from other teachers' handbags.
The other mighty scandal was that someone, who to this day remains unknown, added a very fetching coat of nail varnish to the nails of one of the statues of Our Lady. The nuns were furious.
Incidentally we were once told in a lesson about personal hygiene " Don't be embarrassed about washing down there. Even Our Lady had to do it."
