Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Postings fun, it gets you through the day especially being able to talk about Everton and meet like minded Evertonians especially if you dont live local . You never come across as a know all - You'll always run into somebody that wants to argue with you though messy I wouldn't worry about it, some people just like to feel relevant and play up for likes. Maybe it empowers them or something who knows best not letting them annoy you they're only looking a reaction.

Good I'm glad I don't sound like a know all. I'm going to have a bath and then come back and talk some more Everton. You are an absolute star me @Earwigjoe for getting me them tickets it was such a great result as well. I'm also humbled by all of you saying good night and good morning.

However tomorrow our brother Barnfred should be in everyone's thoughts. I have a few things to do tomorrow but I'll certainly be sending good thoughts his way.

All for one and one for all.

I would love to!! I don't come across as a know all do I? You can be brutally honest with me in here as you know but I do believe in everything I put. Its just sometimes I'm arguing with folk and I do wonder if I come across that way. Some of them come across like that to me.
Not at all mate. It was just the "swerve the question" bit.

Afternoon Karl and the rest of the bunch. Best wishes to you all this beautiful sunny afternoon.

Afternoon Messy ,been busy this morning had the car repaired yesterday and today the light came on again .Turned out it was the trailor I had on the back !!! No bill at least but quite a wait .How are you ? You seem chirpy enough by the amount of posts on here today .
I found out yesterday that after 23 years here in Finland and 13 of those married to a Finn that my residence permit ran out in ---2004 .So now the pension and health service want to slap me on the wrist .
Of course it is because of Brexit and there was a cut off date last month .Oh well tomorrow they will hang ,draw and quarter me and throw me to the wolves .
It has been nice chatting and don't know if I will have internet in clink. Best wishes

Meant to ask this before and forgot @messymascot,

Charlie Whittaker- what sort of midfielder is he and may he actually get a first team chance now you think? I know he was on the bench the other week but that means little under this manager.

I don't actually watch the u18s and u23s but I do keep a close eye on them and read a lot. From what I've read hid best position is the number 10 role. He can also play either wide role and has been used as a striker and a number 8 in midfield. So from that he's pretty much like Anthony Gordon. I don't think he's as tall as Gordon but may have some growing to do. He's a clever player and seems to have a knack for scoring goals. I think he needs to find a set position or he will go the way Dowell and Evans went and not make it here because no one quite knew where to play him. In a 4-2-3-1 his best position is probably number 10. In a 4-3-3 the left wing. These type of players are considered a luxury so he needs to show he will work hard. I think he's got a chance of making an odd appearance over the next couple of seasons but not sure if he will get a regular role. It's up to him really he needs to play well in the u23s and make himself impossible to ignore. With 9 on the bench I would like to think he can get on it a few times this season and maybe come on if we are looking to try something different. I hope this answers your questions it is mainly my opinion.

Surely with it just being a mistake they won't be too harsh on you. However if we don't hear from you in a while we will know where you are. My body has been tired today but my mind has been all go. Honestly knowing I can come here for football and general crack really helps me. If I didn't have the Internet I would have really felt sorry for myself. You lot in here help keep me going.

Was hoping he would be creative as a proper 10 is worth its weight in good.

Agree about the luxury side of a player like that but for me if we want to progress and compete at the right end then we need to find a place for that type.

I watched Evans in a friendly against an Irish team a few years back and in him and Walsh I thought I was watching a future senior midfield. So many variables impact whether a player makes it or not but being seen as a utility player can often be a hindrance to nailing down a spot.

Thank you my friend.

I went to see her earlier. It was very emotional. She was wearing the cocktail dress she had on the night before she passed away and, considering that was 4 weeks ago, she looked stunning. The guys at the Funeral directors had done a terrific job.

Her brother and I had a final drink with her. Mount Gay Black Label. Her favourite tipple.
