Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

In full Messy Coffee Shop randomness, I highly recommend the BBC’s Around the world in 80 days. David Tennant plays Fogg and like everything else he is in it was superb. Well the first 4 episodes have been anyway!

Binged watched today in need of some gentle escapism and it did the trick.

@jazzy maybe just the ticket for you if resting up with your back.

When I was young my mother had pyorrhea , she had all the top teeth out one week and all the bottom out the next .I have dentist friends in Finland who listened open mouthed when I told them but that was because of the dentist more than my mother's tooth loss .
As mad as this sounds my Nan (born in 1896) had all her teeth removed as a 21st birthday present. In Victorian times and early 1900’s it was quite normal apparently.

Funnily enough , got it on record.

Since we got our new TV package 9 months ago we have had Netflix but never watched anything on it.

Yesterday came across The Last Kingdom , the 1st 2 series of which I watched on BBC so got stuck into Series 3 yesterday. Bit gory and mad but good all the same.

Now wondering what else I'm missing on Netflix

As crazy as it sounds ,bad teeth can cause so many problems ,heart disease for one .So in those imes it sort of sounds reasonable.
I mentioned this to my Finnish wife and she told me that because of the great distances to amenities in Lapland it was common to have your teeth out for your birthday until about 50 years ago .
If we travel by car to Lapland there is a stretch of road and it is over 100kms between petrol stations ,there really is nothing but forest up there .
A friend told me that he went salmon fishing up there with a couple of friends ,of course he beer with him ,one day they saw a Sami ( lap person) guy who waved from the bank so they asked him to help them land their dinghy then gave him a beer. When they left they traveled about 50 km and he followed along the side of the lake so he could help them land the dinghy and get another beer !

I need to phone and make an appointment for it. I had to have all the broken bits taken out first, then go back and get fitted for a new plate with more teeth on than the old plate. Hopefully I can get something soonish as I know it will take a couple of weeks to make the thing.
Hopefully get sorted soon as I’m sure you could do without it all.

I find I spend my time flicking through Netflix to see what they offer rather than just selecting an actual programme to watch. Too much choice isn’t always good!!

Not talking football. I think relegation is pretty much nailed and to be frank deserved by the onwership and players. The level of mismanagement at Everton since Moshiri took over beggars belief.

Anyway absolutely stunning day today but unfortunately I can barely walk with my back . My own faulf after doing too much gardening. I can't even carry my little fella down the stairs - Mrs J will have to do it.

So , just rest up I guess. Have a good one everyone.
I wonder if Moshiri actually realises how mismanaged we have been under his ownership or whether he is so arrogant, he would point the finger at others.
He obviously doesn't have his level of money from being a failure, yet the level of incompetency he has shown beggars belief.
When I settle down to watch a game now I still get a tingle of excitement yet when it starts I can't see where we are going to get a goal from.

Good morning all, busy day ahead, joiners completing the trim for the stairs, living room carpet being delivered and fitted in the morning and new settees being delivered in the afternoon.
Been busy at work the last week, part time has turned full time, I've been called out a lot mainly due to covid sickness.
I now feel great after my bout but it seems to be doing the rounds worse than ever, Falkirk District is now 2nd worst hit in Scotland at the moment.
Hope everyone has a nice day.

That team should be comfortably mid table and that’s the worst bit. Losing Gylfi along with the forcing out of our other 2 creative players (James and Digne) has perhaps fatally wounded us though. Confidence levels must be zero and the comments from Lampard and EFC Live regarding effort illustrates the mess the FSW left here.

But yes it was Moshiri who appointed him and the buck has to stop there.
