Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

That team should be comfortably mid table and that’s the worst bit. Losing Gylfi along with the forcing out of our other 2 creative players (James and Digne) has perhaps fatally wounded us though. Confidence levels must be zero and the comments from Lampard and EFC Live regarding effort illustrates the mess the FSW left here.

But yes it was Moshiri who appointed him and the buck has to stop there.
I agree with every word there mate, I know James was lightweight and somewhat of a luxury player but his few goals and assists would have made enough difference to be above this mess.

It is the fear factor that we are missing and he provided that ,we don't have anyone showing enough for any other team to be afraid ,in fact it is the opposite they cannot wait to face us .

Funnily enough , got it on record.

Since we got our new TV package 9 months ago we have had Netflix but never watched anything on it.

Yesterday came across The Last Kingdom , the 1st 2 series of which I watched on BBC so got stuck into Series 3 yesterday. Bit gory and mad but good all the same.

Now wondering what else I'm missing on Netflix
One of my favourite shows. Binge watched the first 7 episodes of series 5 over 2 sittings and looking forward to the final 3 which I'll also watch in 1 sitting. Uhtred is one of my favourite fictional characters. I've read all the books in the series too, there must be about 10. Bernard Cornwell is quite a brilliant historical fiction writer. He knows how to find that perfect combination of historical fact and fiction.

Morning all, supposed to be a really mild day today. Son’s birthday today and 42 years ago the weather was bitterly cold and we had snow. I can’t possibly be old enough to have a son that age, in my head I’m still about 19?.
How long was it before your schoolmates realised you were pregnant. Or the teachers for that matter, unless your brown knickers were so big they covered the bump?

Gwladys, that reminded me. Our second son was born in 1963, the second worst winter after 1947. Her indoors had to stay in the maternity hospital for about 3 weeks due to high blood pressure. I used to visit every evening and envied her lying in a lovely warm bed in a lovely warm ward! Then back out into the freezing cold and back to a house with no central heating and freezing cold until I lit the fire.

I am off soon to my best mate's funeral - died in a standard routine operation with a massive Stroke last Monday - absolutely gutted - he has requested casual dress - Boy will I miss him - his wife only died 9 months ago with the dreaded Alzheimer's-

You know you are getting old when the best friends around you die .... sob

It will be a big Funeral ...

Morning all on this beautiful morning. Sorry to hear your back is really bad @jazzy take it easy Hope the pain eases soon. @Terrarian we haven’t heard from you in a while hoping things are okay with you, also @Methuselah and Mrs M. @blue1948 watched the final two episodes of Four Lives yesterday and as you say it was enough to make your blood boil. Am off to buy a water butt today. After resisting for a number of years (mainly due to childcare we almost always had at least two grandkids in the house ) I caved in and we recently had a smart water meter installed. Mr G has now become the water police . We have two years to change our minds and I may not make it to two monthslol. Have a great day everyone.
Hi mate, just logged on been really bad and then ill with a dodgy stomach, I had a horrendous week, feeling a bit better today but I was sick through the night again.

I'll have a proper catch up tomorrow and read through the thread.
