Not talking football. I think relegation is pretty much nailed and to be frank deserved by the onwership and players. The level of mismanagement at Everton since Moshiri took over beggars belief.
Anyway absolutely stunning day today but unfortunately I can barely walk with my back . My own faulf after doing too much gardening. I can't even carry my little fella down the stairs - Mrs J will have to do it.
So , just rest up I guess. Have a good one everyone.
I hope your back is feeling better, Jazzy.
No I'm fine thanks, it says you should not smoke for 7 days after it but the first thing I did afterwards was smoke a big fat joint, so fairly relaxed for the time being
@Simon Buttle i would have done exactly the same lol
As mad as this sounds my Nan (born in 1896) had all her teeth removed as a 21st birthday present. In Victorian times and early 1900’s it was quite normal apparently.
I’m glad we don’t live in Victorian times any longer because I absolutely love and appreciate my teeth.
Good morning all on this fine day here in Finland .I hope all are well and have a great day .
I was reading that Finland has done a really good maintaining high military readiness for years and regularly testing alarms, and that it has a long tradition of preparedness. Unlike some European countries that stopped keeping up with their bomb shelters, I read that Finland at the moment has capacity for approximately 4,000,000 people in approximately 50,000 shelters. That’s quite impressive, but hopefully you all will not have to make use of them anytime soon.
I find I spend my time flicking through Netflix to see what they offer rather than just selecting an actual programme to watch. Too much choice isn’t always good!!
The same happens to us, sometimes I get overwhelmed by the many choices that I spend a lot of time browsing more than watching
Good morning all, busy day ahead, joiners completing the trim for the stairs, living room carpet being delivered and fitted in the morning and new settees being delivered in the afternoon.
Been busy at work the last week, part time has turned full time, I've been called out a lot mainly due to covid sickness.
I now feel great after my bout but it seems to be doing the rounds worse than ever, Falkirk District is now 2nd worst hit in Scotland at the moment.
Hope everyone has a nice day.
LT, it seems you and I have been very busy working full-time, but I’m super happy with my business. Hopefully you are too
Morning all, supposed to be a really mild day today. Son’s birthday today and 42 years ago the weather was bitterly cold and we had snow. I can’t possibly be old enough to have a son that age, in my head I’m still about 19?.
Happy 42nd birthday to your son. I hope he had a great one.
Gwladys, that reminded me. Our second son was born in 1963, the second worst winter after 1947. Her indoors had to stay in the maternity hospital for about 3 weeks due to high blood pressure. I used to visit every evening and envied her lying in a lovely warm bed in a lovely warm ward! Then back out into the freezing cold and back to a house with no central heating and freezing cold until I lit the fire.
my daughter was also born in one of the worst winters and snow storms we have had in Asheville in the past 12 years. The only good thing about it was that it kept visitations at a minimum so my husband and I were able to bond with my daughter those first few days without too many interruptions.
I am off soon to my best mate's funeral - died in a standard routine operation with a massive Stroke last Monday - absolutely gutted - he has requested casual dress - Boy will I miss him - his wife only died 9 months ago with the dreaded Alzheimer's-
You know you are getting old when the best friends around you die .... sob
It will be a big Funeral ...
@Joey66 i just have time to stop to say hello, but your were in my mind earlier today. It is always so hard to say goodbye to those who we love
Hi mate, just logged on been really bad and then ill with a dodgy stomach, I had a horrendous week, feeling a bit better today but I was sick through the night again.
I'll have a proper catch up tomorrow and read through the thread.
Wow you have had some rough days. Sorry to hear that, but hopefully the package that i sent you would help a bit.
Probably the greatest engineer I have ever known - ex AA & RAC man - expelled from school at the age of 14 for making a cannon in his own gun powder & blowing a massive hole out at dinnertime the ball-bearing went through two classroom walls lol after being suspended once he was then banned from school .... he had a weekend job in an ice cream Factory - when fixing all the machinery there he moved on to better jobs - what a funny brilliant kind man he really was - sob
I reckon his workshop his lathes etc over £100 -000 in it ......he could almost fix anything make parts on his lathes etc etc
It is all these wonderful stories about your best mate that will help you get through this difficult time, but we are also here for you to lift your spirit up when needed. Xxx
Hi guys. Hope you're all OK. There isn't much cheery news is there. Everton aren't helping and there's a few sad posts on here today. Much love to you all - who may be poorly or sad. However Happy birthday to
@Gwladysover 's son. Hope he has a fun celebration. I too think I'm still 19 in my head. My body tells me otherwise!
i feel the same way, stuck at 19 and in the meantime my daughter also likes to think she is 19, as she is already trying to claim some of my clothes and shoes
I am going to join you on that one too.
One of my favourite shows. Binge watched the first 7 episodes of series 5 over 2 sittings and looking forward to the final 3 which I'll also watch in 1 sitting. Uhtred is one of my favourite fictional characters. I've read all the books in the series too, there must be about 10. Bernard Cornwell is quite a brilliant historical fiction writer. He knows how to find that perfect combination of historical fact and fiction.
You have been doing lots of Binge watching as of lately, must be nice to be retired. I can’t remember the last time I did such a thing.
I feel for you there
@Methuselah . . . and still women moan about childbirth. Pfft.
*runs and hides.
You better to be hiding really well
