Actually, although it took a year of chasing for Cal to finally consent to go out with me, it was actually she that suggested we get engaged. She even suggested that we do it on her birthday and booked a weekend away at a hotel in Hawkshead Lake District (not too far away from where Messy lives I think). Then she chose her own engagement ring and put down a deposit on it. All I had to do was get a personal loan out to pay the balance on the engagement ring and then pay the hotel bill. lol
