Michael Bradley?

Didn't surprise me he would get the call tonight. I don't see him staying as a holding midfielder though he always plays to get forward like Cahill. If he has a good game it could force Davey hand sooner than later if he is truely interested. One thing I've noticed from him he doesn't let things slip to easily.

Just watching Bradley for the USA and he looks distinctly average at best, slow in the tackle and piss poor in the pass. Hope to god Moyes is watching and decides against signing this fella

I kinda figured how that's how it would be so far.

He hasn't had much time on the ball and has been relegated to more defensive duties with the pressure England's putting on us.

But when he's had the ball as his feet, he's been fine with no mistakes.

But certainly not a world beating performance, by any of the USA players much less Bradley.

Exept for one tackle on stevie 'i hate divers' G, he's been pretty poor. If he's as good as some say. I'd expect him to stick out in that team.

Bradley

On that performance i think we can look else were .. didnt look up to scratch especially against players he might well come up against if he moves to england

In what way?

USA are a ver ordinary team (at best ) If he has ambitions to make it in england. he should be head an sholders above the rest. He wasn't.

TBH Bill, he showed nothing at all tonight. Poor touch an really poor on the ball. An did'nt seem to want it ever. No hunger at all. You'v seen at lot more than me mate so i'll take your word if you think he's good.

But on tonight, i don't think he's for us.

I agree Sharpy that on tonights display, he's simply not good enough.

But there must be something to his game for Moyes to go and watch him several times?

Very disapointed after whats been said about him,but if he could not shine among that dross then hes not a premier player I was expecting more from the USA as a mate keeps saying how much they have improved over he last decade.I think since he crossed the pond hes forgot what football is:lol:

Then based on everyone's assessment tonight and using roughly the same measuring stick, David Bentley surely wouldn't be a Premier player as he was anonymous for his 45 minutes.

However, I think we all know that's a load of crap and that he most certainly is quality.

Was Bradley poor tonight. Yes.

Is he a poor player though? No.

Big difference between the two.

He certainly didn't help himself and as some have said, he might be better suited for Germany than England.

Only time will tell.

You may be right Bill as you say about Bentley, but we have seen him perform a lot better and with respect we have only got other peoples opinions to go on other than tonight I hope your right but at the moment I dont fancy spending £4 million on him but if he comes good as you say I will post a groveling sorry to you :D

I was dissapointed with him but I'm not judging him one this performance. Its an England game and every England game is the same. No passion, no competitiveness and 22 players passing sideways and backwards. I thought every player was shocking bar one or two. USA and England players.

From what I've seen of Bradley at Heerenveen and at the under 20 world cup his is a promising player but he's not one who's going to stand out immensely. He's not a player who's pleasing on the eye like Fernandes and Arteta for example. If he's going to be anything its an effective, no thrills box to box midfielder. Similar to Cahill. He's complete in alot of areas but isn't outstanding in any. Cahill isn't someone who makes you go wow and bar aerial ability he doesn't have any amazing attributes but no one can deny he isn't an effective footballer.

Bradley has the attributes to make it in England but he's not going to come to Everton and demand a place in the team. I certainly wasn't expecting that. I was expecting him to come here for around 3/4 million, be a squad player and learn under more a experienced player. Become someones understudy and develop.

At the end of the day where trying to build a squad and players like Bradley are pretty cheap and would be useful.

Yet again another logical post from Toxteth.

I really was disappointed in his performance tonight and really wanted him to play as I've seen him play in the past. Also disappointing was that as poor as the rest of the USA players were, that someone, anyone would stand out and really no one did. No one.

But perhaps a match against England in Wembley was just a bit too much for Bradley right now.
