Should have been first out the door this summer for me, certainly before Mori. Could probably get £12 million for him from someone. We ain’t going anywhere with this guy on the pitch.

You know for example if a player was to “fall” down a stair well or the likes, are the club insured for such tragic events. It would be such a shame to lose Michael under such circumstances.

Well unsurprisingly I got this transfer right as well. I have similar doubts about players like lascelles and Gibson who some seem to want us to get. It's totally different doing well at Burnley and Newcastle than to step it up and do it here. We would have had the same problem with maguire if we went for him instead.

Thank the lord we have a dof who is looking outside the prem.

Personally don't think that would've been the case with Maguire. The fee would've been less and he's a young player with better attributes who doesn't hide.

I can't honestly remember a time where I've seen a centre back at everton be utterly destroyed mentally and physically by an average premier league striker as Keane did against Burnley.

Not see that with Maguire who I think mentally has what it takes to be a very good player.

Wasn't there some talk of Snail Keane returning to Burnley? I'm quite prepared to charter a plane from Auckland to Liverpool, hire a car at John Lennon... and drive him there myself.

I can’t work out what’s happened. I get that he was made to look better than he was at Burnley due to the deep defensive line they had but he was a beast in the air. He won the majority of defensive headers and was a threat from attacking set pieces. For us he looks petrified to attack the ball.

Scary thing is he cost 30 mil with just 12 months left on his contract, so essentially Walsh and moonhead where valuing him as a 50+mil defender. Them nobheads want stringing up
