To think he’s been England’s centre half this season. Should be nowhere near our or England’s team on his present form and sadly the majority of his time at Everton.

...he’s certainly not a clogger, I wouldn’t mind so much if he was a clogger but he’s not competitive in that way.

I wouldn’t blame him in the least for the penalty, it was totally bizarrre. I will only accept that decision if the same contact in the future results in the same outcome.

There was a moment, though, in the 2nd half where he was flat to his opponent who waltzed past him like he wasn’t there. No physicality to stay with the attacker, no attempt to recover, no power of recovery. He’s an international CB. Amazing.

Good points which is why he plays like a clogger most weeks. He has a weak mentality and is limited physically. Decent on the ball though.
