I think if we have learned anything about the boy Michael its that he's bloody Franco Baresi in training and a wheelbarrow with no wheel on match day.

What is it with our players looking quality in training yet being utter trash when it counts? It must be nerves, has to be. I remember last year Gomes won a goalscoring drill in training with about six or seven top quality finishes in a row, yet when he shoots in a game it goes a mile over every single time.

You don't know how many takes it took to get those quality finishes tho!......"take 73 Michael.....come on...you know you can do it!!"

Pressure is a thing. If we're really lucky, Lampard can teach them how to deal with it.

I think it's more just that there's a big difference between strolling on to one of them little lay offs with all the time in the world to adjust your feet and pick your spot with just the keeper to beat, and actually getting into good positions in a match situation and being able to shoot under pressure, with people in the way etc.
