Whats your updated thoughts on Godfrey BTW? He has been totally found out, just wonder were you stand on him now?
Keane i actually said on the Rafael thread thread he was disgracful yesterday TBF, or words to that affect.
I still do believe Keane and Mina is our best CB pair FWIW

Hard to comment on any of our defenders when they need to cover for Keane every match.

We see with Godfrey hes always looking around at Keane during games to see where he is because he'll need to cover. Must be frightening to play with Keane.

Keane is always disgraceful...hes probably frightened of goldfish.

How you would pair Mina with Keane is simply madness.

Id rather stand in white dog dirt than see Keane in a blue shirt.

Nice try at avoiding a straight answer, just say it, Godfrey is terrible at CB, everyone else is onto it, for me he should play LB, he played there against Arsenal and Chelsea right? two best games of the season, bonkers Rafael moved him yesterday IMO

Godfrey been found out, think it’s a bit early for that. He’s still young and again like last season is all over the place in terms of where he plays.

Left wing back v Chelsea to Right sided CB v Brighton. Keane is costing us goals playing in his main position every week. Let’s see how he’s get on playing, left back one week RB the next, wing backs the next. Right side of a 3 then left side.

Mina is our best CB, unfortunately injuries and his contract means he won’t hang around. I wonder how many games him and Godfrey have actually played as a 2? Not many I’d guess. But that would be my partnership. It’s like saying keep Coleman at RB because Patterson is making mistakes, well so is Coleman abs he’s finished.
Keane has been making mistakes for 5 years and it’s not changing
 
Look back to the Chelsea draw - branthwaite was organising the defence and telling Keane where to go and what to do, cajoling and bollocking him the entire match.

This from a kid btw, who's played a couple of games in the pl prior to that. The result was one of Keane's better performances for us recently.

Mina does it when he plays too, and Keane is better, but it's not acceptable for a senior pro cb to be as poor as he is.

He's got zero footballing brain and even less heart - when he's next to holgate, who's got even less defensive intelligence, it's a recipe for the disasters we've been seeing.

23 is really young for a center back. If you were judging Ramos at that age, you'd probably have concluded that he was a rubbish CB whose future was as a star RB. A couple of years prior, Ramos had a manager who presumably brought in Pepe and Metzelder just to be sure he wouldn't have to field Ramos at CB.

Mina's lapses started happening a lot less often right around the age of 25, which is usually around when they come into their own. Sure, there are precocious CBs out there who have the positional sense early on, but writing them off entirely before that age is probably wrong.

Ive not avoided an answer.

What i stated clearly was that playing next to Keane (and Coleman) Godfrey and anyone else is going to need to watch them for mistakes so they cant play their own game.

Mina + Godfrey have very rarely played due to either being out with injury/illness.

How Keane hasnt been punted is beyond me.

Branthwaite starts every match in this team above him. Sure he will make mistakes, maybe on a bad day it could be as many as Keane but he will improve.

But the Rafmaster will still want him to play like Baresi and complain when he doesn't
