…David Esser played for Stockport & England Schoolboys in the early ‘70s, Mikey. He was a fine midfielder who actually joined Everton as an apprentice.

I played against him at Edgeley Park. I’m sure I’ve got the programme from that match, must dig it out for you. I reckon a future European Cup winning forward also played but he didn’t score whilst I got two (one at each end)
