these players can play ut from the back, we've shown that a few times in the last few games. The difference now is that they choose when to play out rather than try and do it all the time

I dont say much about Keane on here because there seems to be a lot of ill feeling towards him and I don’t like feeling unpopular. But I’ve always been a bit of a fanboy. His passing range is great on his day and can always chip in with goals. Always been disappointed he hasn’t managed to perform consistently.

Great to see him do well today.

It's a shame that he was given that monster contract because he can be a very steady player when used right. But at £80/100k a week there can be no justification for keeping him when he's a backup and not really better than Godfrey. If he were to take a significant pay cut then I'd be more than happy for him to stay, but players generally don't do that, especially when they're available on a free transfer and have a decent payday lined up.
