We simply need to ruthlessly sweep them aside. I mean, do we want to win things or what? Hit them early, draw them out and then finish them off. West Ham/Andy Carroll beat them at home a couple of games ago! Need I say more?

True. Though having a strong aerial threat against teams that set up more defensively is an important factor...they have Andy Carrol...saying that I have no idea if he scored or played that game.

He scored twice. We have no such giraffe of our own, but we do have players that can get into the box: Defenders hate that. I would hope the likes of Rom and Lookman get into the box as much as possible. This will require a high pressing game with Coleman, Barkley and maybe Davies driving the ball forward into these areas. If nothing else, we might draw a few fouls in good direct free kick positions. My point is, we should not stand off and wait for them to come out. Attack, be ruthless, don't take no for an answer! The longer it stays at 0-0 the harder it will be to break them down, making us more likely to concede a late killer. Not sure what their counter attack threat is, but surely we can cope. Press, press, press!

Ok, team talk over :)

Really important game if we want a go at top six, hopefully early goal settle nerves play football then batter the tramps! Still haven't forgiven them for smashing up our Barnes coach after fa cup replay in the eighties, gang of beauts

Not sure about warm weather training and returning to sub vero match conditions. Train like you play, we could catch them shivering on saturday.

So apparently we're wearing our actual away kit for the first time in competition this season. We've only worn our home and third kits so far.

Let's hope it's a lucky kit.

Is it true we're wearing the away kit for the first time this season?

I was just writing my post while you posted yours, but I read it here http://www.thetopbalcony.com/after-...-not-played-in-their-away-kit-this-season/783

The black kit, which sports salmon pink lining, was rejected for away games at West Brom and Bournemouth because it clashes with colours on the home team’s shirts.

Meanwhile, the club’s most recent game saw Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey wear black.

However, away fixtures at Sunderland, Watford and Southampton saw the club wear the Royal Blue home shirt, while yellow was used against Burnley and Manchester City.

With Everton playing three cup home games before crashing out of both domestic cup tournaments the club has still not used the away shirt in a competitive fixture.

Chelsea and Spurs only won by the solitary goal. Although I expect us to win , we have to be patient.

Oh totally, I was not arguing your shrewd tactics sir. We are due for a CB header are we not?
