It wasn't riveting to watch, in fact haven't seen the last 15 minutes and don't think I'll bother going back to.
I talked about us expecting too much the other week, and to be honest draws don't satisfy me while we're in this unbeaten run, even away draws.
It'd be unfair to expect Lukaku to score every week, but I thought that was a pretty poor effort in the one on one with Valdes. He was a long way off his line and it was crying out for a simple chip over the top.
To sum up.. We just drew 0-0 with Middlesborough who are crap and we are pinning out hopes on a bunch of 18 yr olds because we struggle to attract and sign experienced world class players.
This was always going to be a close game. Even a casual look at their results all season suggested it was going to be low scoring and probably 1 goal in it either way. That's the way they set up to play i.e. Very difficult to score against and try to nick a goal each game before they concede.
In October many were bitterly disappointed that we lost to Burnley but Burnley seem to have just focused on winning at home - 28 points out of their total 29 won at home.
Last season Leicester employed practically the same tactics as Boro have this (i.e. defend, nick the first goal and then either hang on or get another goal(s) on the break) and obviously Leicester won the league. So I can understand why Boro have tried the Leicester tactic but they are dull and boring to watch. I hope they go down. And now their tactics have been found out I hope 'plucky Leicester' go with them.
Boro had a spell in the match, similar to Bournemouth last week, where we just suddenly forgot how to play football and come under severe pressure, 2 games we have gotten away with it, it will bite us in the arse though eventually.
