To be fair to them, play like this and stay in the league will do fine for them, and they're clearly well drilled, but yes, it's really poor to watch.

Yea i'm in the camp that newly promoted teams prime directive in the 1st year is to stay up by any means necessary and I guess they are comfortable playing this style. However I'm not sure if its the right idea playing this way as they might draw their way right into the championship.

I remember a few people giving a shout for Karanka for managing your lovely Everton. Yes he's decent at getting results but I imagine that many people promoting him did not watch Boro much.
