The problem is, every time he says anything really insightful, he usually backs it up with a load of weird sh*e after it and undermines the good points he made earlier. Similar to Martinez in many ways.

There's a few reasons he never got any big managerial jobs after caretaking Wales for a game, and it's not just because he's honest and tells it how it is. So are lots of people, including Carlo Ancelotti.

He has always been a bit of a wild card and you just don't know what he's going to say or do next. Probably one of the reasons he was so good at what he did. But also, 100% of the reason why he isnt involved in the game more regularly, even as a pundit.

Just out of curiosity,do you know if he has the necessary badges/licenses to to take a manager position in the PL/Championship?

No, can't say I do to be honest, but I think he only managed Wales for 1 game and think he had a few jobs at non league clubs from what I remember, but none for any length of time.

He has been involved in a lot of youth coaching, but not sure what credentials are needed for different levels of managing and coaching. I read recently that Celtics new manager didn't have the correct licences and had applied for an exemption while he completed the relevant courses, and I seem to remember something similar happening when Gareth Southgate became caretaker manager at Boro.
 
He coached that ginger kid once at the Britannia Stadium to get shots booted at him from Michael Owen. He then coached the kid to two foot Owen as he celebrated after scoring in front of the 13 yr old!
