He still has about £90k left on his mortgage.
His house worth £400k easy.
He wants to sell, buy a two bed apartment, brand spankers, a holiday home outright in lanzerote and be mortgage free.
Cut down hours etc.
His wife just won't have any of it.

As posted earlier today.. women are tough sometimes.

It's just a game they like to play.

I once came home with a Porche 911 brochure from the Porche dealer at the Pier Head.

I put it somewhere out of the way, until she started banging on about wanting to move.

I handed her the brochure and asked her to look at the cars in there ( no prices given ).

She asked me why I'd given her the Porche brochure.

To which I replied :

" I'd very much like one of those, but I know I'll never be able to afford one, just like those houses in your head "

That didn't go down too well either lol

I'm sure your employer forcing you to use a days holiday to escape a reprimand for not ringing in sick is illegal.

Coincidentally I had a meeting with my director today and he basically told me I'm not getting a pay rise, despite the fact I'm out performing my pay band considerably and have been for almost the whole year I've been there. Time to find a new job.

Id imagine a prod regarding their Hr policy of forcing you to take holidays instead of sick days might get you that pay rise.
