minor things that make you fume

I need wooden sash windows replacing, so it's a serious few bob, as it's a craftsman job. One fella failed to turn up on Monday, others don't even respond to emails or messages left - it's bonkers !
Love sash windows. My house has them. I live in a big Victorian townhouse and there’s about 20 houses in a row. Sad to see some have swapped theirs out for bland UPVC windows.

I fully agree mate.

One of my mates runs a b&b in Hale Village and it`s a nightmare for his customers who are coming from outside Liverpool and don`t know about it.

If you multiply that by all the tourists, people who use their airport etc, they must be raking it in with the fines.

Seven / fourteen days would`ve been a more realistic time span to pay.
Here in Queensland you used to get 3 days to pay and there were big signs to remind you.
If you are a regular user you can get an electronic tag thing, if you are an occasional user you can set up an account and if you go under the number plate reader it gets deducted

The ever increasing and escalating didnt pay fines are nowt but a revenue raiser for the toll company.

Drivers who don’t do the speed limit.

Just been driving down a single-carriageway, which has a speed limit of 50mph, the driver in front is doing 38-40mph. I started getting impatient, so overtook it when I seen a gap open up from the oncoming traffic and then he started to match my speed as I was overtaking! So I had to go faster to get past him, all the while the gap is now closing to the oncoming traffic.

The lanes are fairly big, you could fit a bus through the middle. There is no road signs to say that overtaking is not allowed and the white line was broken, meaning that I can go into the other lane to overtake as it isn’t a solid line. So I’m assuming I made a legal manoeuvre?

It’s a company car, so the last thing I need is someone with dashcam footage sending it to my company if it isn’t a legal move!
Was out in the car this afternoon behind, shall we say, a car driven by a ‘mature’ driver. They did 20 in a 30, 30 in a 40, then when going back into a 30, seemed to speed up to 50. WTF?!

Following on with the driving topic, the clowns that use the M62/M60 on a weekend paying no heed whatsoever to the rules of motorway driving. Today was appalling with people seemingly out for a casual saunter. An unhealthy mix of those quite evidently unused to the environment, and those used to the phenomenon. Stay off the motorways if you cant hack it.

Today, I drove behind the most 'deliberate' driver I have ever seen. He stopped at roundabouts even when you could see that nothing was coming. He would pause for four or five seconds then, if there was nothing coming he would go. We came to a mini-roundabout which is painted on the road. He drove round it slowly and I could see him looking out of the drivers side window to make sure his wheels weren't touching the white painted roundabout. I was only about 4 or 5 minutes from home and with a dozen or so roads he could turn off I thought he would soon be gone. He turned off about 100 yards from my front door!

I`d pit money on the car he was driving - a Nissan Micra or a Honda Jazz !!!!
