I hate self service tills. More than three items and you're sure to hear, 'unexpected item in bagging area'. However, I was in Poundland this morning, and for some, no doubt hilarious reason dreamt up by their management, you are assailed by a bad Elvis impersonator's voice for heaven's sake - three tills going at the same time is annoying as hell. How about employing real people at real tills ?
It's 6 quid for me, plus a couple of quid tip. Not outrageous at all.

Was there yesterday afternoon...whole families walking 4 abreast in the aisle and moving as slow as snails blocking anybody else from passing whilst their kids..Charlie and Arabell are running around jumping and climbing on anything that doesn’t move... wish these people would take their Sunday stroll in a park instead of a shop where people are actually trying to purchase stuff
