I was out and about at the weekend and was walking on a narrow path with a couple walking side by side towards me. I thought one would move out the way but they didn’t and the only options I had was stand my ground or jump in to the hedge as it was only wide enough for two people. I did the former and our shoulders clashed and the bloke tried to be funny with me as if it was my fault. Utter moron.

I always thought when you see a sign on a road... 40mph as example, then that's also like a minimum speed limit aswell as maximum...

Drivers that drive at 20-30mph are just as bad as drivers speeding along at 50-60 In a 40 zone.

I'm sure I was taught to get up to or just under the speed limit when driving??

There isn't a minimum speed limit. The government wants us to drive slowly as its an inefficient speed and thus fuel consumption increases and their fuel duty, tax and vat income all increase.

Unless the police need an excuse to pull you over to increase their coffers - then you can be 'suspiciously' slow.

But I agree, people consistently driving 10mph below whatever the limit is, in good conditions, bother me too.

Add to that that modern speedos deliberately over-read speed making them even slower. ..

I know a 'right on' bloke who got done for speeding. He opted to go on one of these 'speed awareness' courses. Now, he drives everywhere at 30 mph. I make sure I never go out in the car when he is driving as all the roads are gridlocked. Doesn't take much down here in the sarf.

I was stuck behind someone this morning doing 27 in a 30 zone and even though it is only a 3mph difference, it proper did my head in.
