At what age group do RL teams play against RU teams? Seems like a strange idea.

In both codes, the mistake made in this country is that all youth rugby is played in an age group format, rather than having kids grouped by size. In NZ they organise it all by weight, so the phenomenon of "give the ball to the big lad so he can smash past everyone" doesn't take place. That's how NZ can produce backs who forced turnovers with counter-rucking and back-row forwards who can kick drop goals from 30+ yards in full international test matches (Zinzan Brooke).

The biobanding stuff failed miserably - even been dropped in NZ.
