Yup, had to be up 30 mins earlier this morning, but spent large parts of the night waking and checking my phone in case I'd slept through my alarm. And then I slept through my alarm.

absolutely anything to do with air travel (apart from the stewardesses obv)

- lack of airport parking in any airport
- airport security (pity the folks that work in that job tho', having to put up with pissy, pompous travellers all day...),
- airline check-in apps that don't bloody work,
- over-priced bars with lackadaisical service and crap food,
- putting up with other passengers ie. the scrum to board, the people trying to fit 6 pieces of hand luggage in the rack, sneezing tits in a confined space, snidey gets trying to take all the armrest up, pompous business chaps jostling each other out of the way to get off the plane first, ...
- delays and cancellations
- lost bags
- the fear that some bell could want his 80 virgins or do live missile testing in Ukraine and take us all with them

This on cheese on toast.

Last time I flew there was a French family (mother with two kids) directly behind me in the queue to board the plane. Older kid was a boy about nine years old, and he was screaming the house down about having to carry his own bag (a little backpack for in the cabin). Mother dearest is completely oblivious to the fact that it's not on for a kid to make such a bloody racket and just absently tells him every few seconds to stop being silly, to absolutely no effect. I turned around and bellowed "Shall I carry that heavy bag for you?", took it off of him and turned my back. Little fecker shut up immediately.

When we got to the cabin door, I turned back to him, handed him his bag and said "Gentlemen carry their bags without whining." Mrs. Tree was mortified, but admitted she had expected me to kick him.
