I used to have a little home business to supplement my wages and ended up buying an Epsom printer that has ink tanks on the side that you just pour ink into. Cost about £150 but worked out much cheaper than any cartridge based printer after about two months. Don't use it much now but definitely had my moneys worth when I was printing several postage labels everyday.

Similar approach with the razor blade business model. Cartridges are ridiculously expensive and give terrible shaves after a few uses. Even those Dollar Shave style subscription packs are expensive in comparison to just buying a decent Double Edge razor and a pack of 100 blades.

I shave my head every other day,thought I'd try an old fashioned double edge...no matter how many times I tried always ended up like a scene from a slasher film.
