minor things that make you fume

A question to all of you self employed tradesmen out there, what's your thought process when you fail to turn up at locations after agreeing to come and price jobs?
I get that you're rushed off your feet now that people are spending money on house maintenance because they can't spend it on holidays, but what's wrong with a text, maybe call or email to say you're not coming?

The price of HP print cartridges. My printer only takes HP ones and not the cheaper versions - not that they're cheap either!
One cartridge costs more than the device itself did.

My daughter is a police officer in the child protection unit she does an amazing job as do all her colleagues so proud of her.
There are a few jobs I wouldn’t do and that is one of them. You should be very proud indeed. A friend of mine works in child safeguarding for the council. Absolutely brutal. Have to be hard as nails yet able to keep a rational head.

1) Reaction videos on YouTube (apart from “Reaction and Review”, Emer Prevost was a brilliant youtuber, RIP).

2) People who like the idea 3pm matches before lockdown were not shown on U.K. TV and also like the idea of staying up late to watch the highlights in MOTD.

Car insurance renewal time again.

I've used Hastings the last few years and it's the same old dance every year.

Hastings put my renewal up to £351 from £321 despite me never claiming and I imagine the total number of claims been way down the last few months.
I shop around and find slightly better or at least equivalent cover for £290.
That lower price is with Hastings.

Every bloody year. I get why they do it hoping people can't be arsed or just forget but it's so annoying.

Being from Hastings myself, I know many people who have worked for this company. They give you a job, all goes well, then they make you redundant later on. This has happened to three of the five people I know who have worked for them, the other two left and probably would have gone the same way had they not jumped.

It also now looks like to me, their insurance policies are crap and do not know what a “No claims discount” is.

“There’s more to Hastings than 1066!” everyone around here says, yet this shower put 1066 at the end of their phone number!.

Nice little Hastings/Everton link for you - Robert Noonan (Tressell) is buried in Walton. ;)
