minor things that make you fume

Nice little Hastings/Everton link for you - Robert Noonan (Tressell) is buried in Walton. ;)
Oh yes!. He worked as a painter in Hastings after he returned from South Africa.

Another Hastings/Everton link I know well is that Neville Southall once managed Hastings United when they played in the Ryman Division 1 South, he later got sacked and ended up at Margate.

I really like Hastings, I've been there several times and had some really good nights there.

Pig in Paradise is a brilliant restaurant, been there many times, as well as the Marina Fountain pub. The Old Town however is always a good place to see; to me you have not seen Hastings if you go there and don’t walk around that part.

The Pier could have looked better in the so-called rebuild after the fire, as it’s just a long plain platform now and looks sort of soulless. Really do miss the gig venue Hastings VIP, I saw the 90s Britpop band Dodgy do an acoustic set there in 2017 with my friend who lives upstairs in the flat above me, only to end up going to a few bars with them afterwards!.

Got good memories of my childhood always buying budget video games from WH Smith for my C64, which is now the Yates pub in the main square. Priory Meadow used to be the cricket ground and the first time I ever went to a cinema was at the Odeon opposite, which back then in 1985 was a Cannon. It was “Santa Claus the Movie” my parents took me to see.

Wife's mothers father and extended family lived in Battle...a rum lot and no mistake...no names no pack drill
You can see were the genes of the saxons etc resided, if you wanted a picture for the dictionary under 'square headed blond german' grandad was your man...
She takes after her dads 'black irish' side though...deffo a Spanish armada ship wrecked sailor in there somewhere.
Edit; Melia is not an unknown name in Spain...coincidence? Who knows.

When someone has a particularly smelly poo and then a shower thinking the stench will be masked but only makes a more potent stench of bad poo and L’Oréal.
Im not to bothered but my lass isn’t going to be happy when she next uses the bathroom.
Like someone sprayed a dog turd with Lynx.

I had to clear a blocked bog today after one of my lads totally blocked it with a turd.
Never seen anything like it, and I used to have to clean the sewage treatment plants on the ships when I was in the Royal Navy.

Binbag wrapped around the arm job?
Hahah..
I kicked off and asked who’d been flushing stuff down there that shouldn’t be.
My lad coughed and said it was his dump.
Was more than happy with a glove to sort it in that case.
When your trying to clear float switches off sewage treatment plants on the ship after a night ashore, and lads have been wanking with porn mags and flushing them, that was different gravy.
Showing me age now with a mention of magazines though.

Enlisted myself to take part in the Great Everton Quiz organised via The Athletic which took place on Friday just gone. Questions based solely on the Walter Smith years onwards. What happened to our shout that football existed pre 1992? Anyway I was absolute cack and thinking now I'm a bad Evertonian.
