minor things that make you fume

Mrs C and I go for walks along a river near where we live, there is a pathway wide enough for 3/4 people to pass. It winds her up no end when the people don’t go into single file and leave a gap between them and us.

It's unbelievable isn't it, it's like it's impossible for middle aged couples to go single file.
They either do that or split and you have to walk through the middle which is as weird.

Winds me up loads.

The other week I was fumin over low dialogue - loud music on my TV.
Now sorted to something I can live with, after much research, googling, trial and error.
It seems the dialogue comes out of the middle speakers and that the PCM setting...Pulse Code Modulation...is the key (who knew?)
All will be different obvs but I set mine up like this.
Well thats as clear as mud but glad you sorted it.

The profile of the graphic equaliser gives your age away though lol

When you cook a microwave meal and go to peel the film off. Only the corner comes Off and none over your food
Applying the film to the tray requires 3 settings to be correct - temperature, time and pressure. These settings will be specified in the procedures and will ensure a complete seal while also allowing it to peel off in one piece.

However, over time, debris builds up on the sealing head and rather than take it off to clean it, sometimes they just increase one of the settings so that they can keep the line running. Usually this results in the film attaching too hard and it will fail to peel properly.

Boring as hell I know, but there you go.

Being lucky enough to live in an typical "leafy suburb" at present the roadside verges are full of the trees in blossom and they look lovely. But when they fall to ground they absolutely clog up the gutters and soon turn into an unsightly pulp.

Annoys me no end that.
Especially older folk not budging, then realising these older folk are only a year or 2 older than myself ,if not younger.

The madness of extreme PC on the TV (and this forum it appears) Caught an episode of a 70s soap opera and in two separate scenes words were censured out. In the first, one woman called the other a silly bitch and in the other one character said her sister was being a proper Richard... which bizzarely was just deleted here if I use the familiar form of the name even if I use the capital D. lol.

Just to try it out. Dick Whittington.
Appears the christian name of the ex Lord Mayor of London is offensive in the modern world. lol

And just as a tester, cut and paste from Wikipedia.
Dick Whittington and His Cat is the English folklore surrounding the real-life Richard Whittington (c. 1354–1423), wealthy merchant and later Lord Mayor of London. The legend describes his rise from poverty-stricken childhood with the fortune he made through the sale of his cat to a rat-infested country.
lol lol
