This ruling is even more upsetting after yesterday’s decision in NY. The Supreme Court is protecting the right of gun owner’s in this country so fervently, while taking woman’s rights away. They are okay with humans dying of gun violence, but are not okay with a fetus being destroyed because of rape or incest. This country’s policies are really becoming a joke that I don’t want to longer be part of, but it is conflicting when part of your life is so cemented here

It is, how can the SC justify such a ruling when just yesterday they allowed for more weapons on our streets. So they are okay with granting gun owners their rights but not to women.

Because the NRA give out brown envelopes, and 150 million women give them kids who will buy guns. Every abortion is 1 less gun that gets sold.

I totally understand her feelings. Every women, along with any men, that supports our health and reproductive rights should be raging, not only here in the US but all over the world. This decision by one of the most powerful countries in the world is shameful and could spark similar actions against women rights in other countries too.

I tapped him on the shoulder and told him there was a queue. He says he only wants one thing and he has a taxi waiting.
Really? Well get the f.in back of the queue and ask people individually if you can go before them.

We have our queue etiquette dont we! I remember, back in the early days of lockdown, when the super markets had huge queues, and I was near the front. Some lass with a crutch, which she had obviously recently got, arrived, so I asked the lad behind me if he would mind if I offered her my place. No problem he said. But the woman was having none of it!

Years back I was on a Dutch barge owners forum. Another member was some toff who had the ear of the government of the time (tory) and was some kind of advisor. He was a thoroughly arrogant and entitled tit as you might imagine. He was adamant that if there were a queue at a lock and he needed to get through in a hurry then there should he a means of paying the lock keeper for the privilege of getting through first.

I reasoned that by his party's religion, that of commerce, negotiation, free enterprise and power of the rich, that what he should be trying to do is pay each boater ahead of him in the queue in order to advance one space. To allow him to go ahead of them they should set the price depending upon how they valued their time. When ye got to me I stated that he eould unlikely to be able to afford my price. But why pay a lock keeper when essentially its the time of the people in the queue you are wanting to take?

He wasn't happy. For some reason - possibly because I didn't bow down to his wealth and status this logic got me branded as that 'bloody socialist' I was happy with that.
