minor things that make you fume

Nah so long as your are swiping it, it should be adding up. Can use the app to collect ’bonus points’ for some items they must be over stocked on.
You can also auto transfer points to things like airmiles etc so maybe check you’ve not set that up inadvertently!
NB - 1/2p per point not 5p in my original reply, £10k = £50 not £500!
Never bothered with these bloody cards, And now seeing your figures. I'm comfortably at ease with that decision.
£50 for every £10.000 spent. ( Those kind of returns sound familiar to a club I know )

The Time you spend In a Queue whilst the women in front our having panic attacks whilst searching for those Damn cards aswell !!

Sainsbury's Nectar cards.

I've spent probably about £10,000 at Sainsburys over the past year and a half buying food for myself and various family members. Swiped the Nectar card every single time.

My Nectar balance is about £6.50 having never used any of it.

Most pointless thing ever, it's like they are actively mocking their customers.
More like actively tracking what you buy

We "earned" about £40 in vouchers from Barclaycard after being with them for about thirty years. We decided to go for a meal at one of the restaurants named on the literature they sent. We got short shrift from Bella Italia and Pizza Express who said they'd never heard of the voucher scheme. We were accepted at TGI Fridays but it was horrible food and a raucous noise in the place. Should have gone on Monday I suppose.

They do it to see what you buy - then they push ads on you or discounts to tempt you to other things they can flog you, but never offers on the things they know you'll want. Just irritating.

I have never had an offer from Sainsburys based on my Nectar card. Tesco are a bit cuter with their clubcard, but they are more generous with what you get in vouchers and stuff.

The missus uses tesco card. And I use her card every time I fill up the car because it mounts up and occasionally gets us a pizza or two.

Before a local Sainsburys opened, Tesco clubcard would easily pay for Christmas. Got about £90 on me Nectar, and havnt used a point for over 4 years. Its way less generous than Tesco, but we preferred Sainsburys.

I actually prefer lidl- their coffee, chocolate and beer, the true staples, can't be beaten.

But honestly I go for whatever is closest, buy what's cheapest there and never bother faffing about with their cards.

Selfies, but particularly travel selfies. You go somewhere beautiful, and rather than just taking a picture of the Taj Mahal or Machu Pichu, you seem to think that this beautiful scene will be improved by sticking your mug in front of it, thus relegating the natural/man made wonder to second place behind the magnificence and importance of you.

(Bruce goes in for some Friday Fury and craps on 70% of social media posts from the over 30's crowd)

I went to the Taj Mahal in ‘99 while backpacking. Massive queue of tourists waiting for their photo op on the bench Princess Diana sat on, all the while ignoring the majestic beauty of the building itself.

Trainer websites that do exclusive release dates via a raffle. The same people win the raffle over and over then inflate the price putting them on seller sites for ridiculous money.
