Long story short, got a fine for alleged unpaid parking ticket couple of weeks ago, I eventually was able to get in touch with the company Parkingeye after spending hours trying to find a working email address to appeal and I provided proof that I had paid, I didn’t have the ticket as I’d binned it the day after I parked there…. Anyway, I provided a bank statement which showed I’d purchased the ticket on the day and at the correct time and paid sufficient amount for the duration. Anyhow, got a letter yesterday from the company saying they are not accepting my grounds for appeal and have given me 28 days to pay the fine… I ain’t bothering contacting them again, I will happily go to court and cost them even more money.

Children on planes.

Currently set to take off but being prevented from doing so by a Russian family that cannot control their child that desperately wants to sit by herself in first class - the girl is absolutely screaming her head off and has been for about 15 minutes.

The parents are front row of economy and the girl is crying and screaming, pointing at the first class seat she wants to sit in but has been told cannot as she'd be unaccompanied.

Horrible spoiled little brat makes me never want to have children of my own.

Edit: The plane took off without her having her seatbelt on and she's just had her arse smacked by her mum.

Yes. Airlines should have areas where all families with children are seated together. They can drive each other bonkers then.

For sure. I don't want to take my kids on a flight because of the disruption they might cause to people around us. If there was a 'disruptive' section, I'd feel happier about it!

Gonna sound like a right brexiteer here but I always appreciate pubs when I go abroad as you can NEVER get a proper pint unless you're in Belgium or Germany. Other countries just do not do casual beer culture as well as the UK. It's about one of the only things we still do well, but still

On this topic - I've only seen it from Brits, but people who fume when the beer isn't completely flat in the pint glass. What's wrong with ye?!

I got intimidating threatening ketters off parking eye after I overstayed at Aldi by 10 minutes in Brecon.

I was happy to ignore them and go to court if necessary having stated I couldn't start my campervan. Furthermore, the fine of £60 for 10 minutes parking was not a reasonable rate, given rhe damage i was doing sitting in a mainly empty car park.

They gave up after a year. Parkingeye are detestable freeloading vultures.

They stung a friend who had parked slightly over a white line in an almost empty car park outside a disused shop! In fact the only other car was the parking eye scum waiting to entrap someone. My advice was just ignore the letters but she was intimidated into paying up. Unbelievable.

We also do diversity of food very well .... not many countries do Indian, Chinese, Italian, Thai, kebabs etc in practically every town.
