minor things that make you fume

All the garish custom made campervans with their all terrain tyres and massive compasses on the side piss me off a bit.

No issue with DIY campers, just the £100k ones the rich tits parade about in.
Just got my car tax reminder for my converted transit camper. Its increased by about 10% over last year - a figure the tory chancellor is calling 6% - and they've wrecked education so much nobody will notice.

It now takes one month's pension for me to tax and insure my campervan for a year. I do about 1000 miles in it. I imagine the chancellor's investments acquire this amount if cash in a single afternoon.

Just had an Ideal combi boiler fitted at some expense to be told that the model is suspected of having a manufacturing fault which may result in overheating or not working at all. The chances are one boiler in 10,000.
Lucky white heather? Get your white heather here......

Had a long stressful day today so had a couple of tinnies tonight to relax …. Only had 3 and a half cans and have just woken up on the sofa ffs
This. I've now cut out midweek drinking to help with the sleep, but now chocolate still has me waking in the early hours.

The weather in Britain. How do any people prefer the winter over the summer?!??

The fashion hides more of me! Plus the sense of doom I feel as summer heat waves intensify only to be told by daily mail reader its always been this extreme on the dau another record tumbles, I find myself far more relaxed in winter even though I know that is just perspective in my own head.

Plus, bourbon tastes even better when its cold outside and I'm indoors.

Personally, I just don't do hot weather that well. Sweating profusely and feeling uncomfortable day and night is not my preference at all.

Putting a big jacket on and a walk in misty rain is a thing of beauty, especially in a park/tree lined area.

This…. There’s no better feeling than when the weather is horrendous outside and I get wrapped up warm and put on my wet weather gear and boots and go walking on the headlands….. makes you feel alive.

Not me having the feeeewm here but this fella must be 'kin furious 😂😂

French matchstick Eiffel Tower record bid ruled out over wrong matches

A French model-enthusiast who wanted to beat the world record for a matchstick Eiffel Tower has had his hopes dashed.
Richard Plaud, 47, from Montpellier-de-Médillan in western France, was told by the Guinness World Records that his 7.19m (23ft) tower did not qualify because he had used the wrong kind of matches.
"It's part of my dream that's vanished," he told reporters.
His model took eight years, 706,900 matches and 23kg of glue to build.
The final piece of wood was carefully glued into place on 27 December, 100 years to the day since the death of the engineer Gustav Eiffel.
After that, he put the 1/45th scale model on display and contacted the Guinness World Records team so they could authenticate his work.
But that was where it all went pear-shaped, because Mr Plaud had made a fundamental error.
Realising that the most annoying part of the job was going to be shaving off hundreds of thousands of bits of sulphur from individual matchsticks, he contacted the match manufacturer.
They supplied him with kilos of sulphur-less matches - in other words sticks without the red part at the end. Perfect for building, but technically not real matches.
Unfortunately for him, the Guinness World Records rules stipulate that only
"commercially available" matches qualify for a record-breaker.
"They reckoned that my matches weren't available for sale. So they didn't qualify," said Mr Plaud.
"It's pretty astonishing, and actually rather annoying. Not exactly fair play. What hurts most is that they don't acknowledge the work that I put in, the time I spent, the mental energy - because I can tell you it was not easy."
He hopes to put his tower on display in Paris for the Olympics in July.
Meanwhile the Guinness record stays in Lebanon - where Toufic Daher built a 6.53m Eiffel Tower in 2009.
Using the right matches.
