This. Do people not realise that headlights are as much to help other drivers see you, as they are for helping you to see? Trying to pull out of my side road onto a busy main road yesterday in the thickest fog, lost count of the cars with no lights on which I saw approaching with barely 50yds to spare.Idiots driving this morning without any lights on... and this before 7am
The history of the language is one of changing meanings ,as one example take the word "gay " it originally had a much different meaning but this phobophobic could be in next years NOEDPeople using the extension '-phobe' to describe someone who dislikes or hates something, eg homophobe, technophobe, islamophobe etc. If you are phobic about something, you have an (often) irrational, yet intense fear, of it. Someone claustrophobic doesn't just consciously hate confined spaces, they are terrified of them. When someone is considered to have a grudge against gays, they are immediately labelled 'homophobic'. If they truly were homophobic, they would be afraid of gay people, and wouldn't be able to help it. They wouldn't beat them up or abuse them, they'd stay away. Similarly, anyone who doesn't want the latest smartphone or Apple gadget is a 'technophobe'. No - not unless they're hiding in the next room scared of the new telly, they're not. This seems to have appeared out of nowhere, and suddenly 'phobe' is being stuck on the end of anything someone doesn't like. Stop it. Stop it now. And no, I'm NOT 'phobophobic'...

Was that on the way to the gym mate ?The bloke in the Mercedes this morning driving about 5cm from my bumper despite the roads being damp and foggy. The bell end then kicked off beeping and flashing his lights because I slowed down to the speed limit for a speed camera. Utter penis.
No, on my way to work where I have to babysit fully grown men.Was that on the way to the gym mate ?
