This on FB. Fought a war? What war was this?? I'll admit I didn't do A-level History but in pretty sure the last war anyone over 60 could have fought in for Britain ended in '45 making veterans 90+ and about 0.8% of the population.

Being asked stupid questions to which the answer is blindingly obvious...

E.g. last night at 7.40pm, I went to vote, walked in with polling card in hand past a lady clearing conducting some form of exit poll, cast my vote and came out... so far so good eh?

Lady outside says, "Sir, can I ask you a couple of questions.
Reply, "Yes"
Lady says, "Have you just voted?"
Reply, "Now let me think, it's 7.42 in the evening on a voting day and you've just watched me enter and come out of a building clearly signposted as a 'Polling Station' in less than 90 seconds... so what do you think Mrs.Einstein ?"

Women who don't appreciate anything. My other half was 50 last year, she was saying to me today that she felt like she never really got anything to mark her 50th, I reminded her I bought her a diamond ring, she was like "I know, but........" I was gobsmacked.

I'm sorry. I actually feel horrible when I hear things like this. Maybe it's how I was brought up but I appreciate any and everything. My boyfriend knows he is off the hook if he just brings home flowers and a card for any occasion.

maybe she's after an experience rather than a thing: like a holiday or night in a swish hotel. women often don't tell us what they really want, so good luck mate!
