minor things that make you fume

Is that any different to the fella down the pub though?

I'm not saying the joke is fine by any means. But to string someone like gazza into court to make an example I believe is going too far when your local man on the street is perfectly fine to do it.

Frankie boyles jokes involve insulting disabled kids. Not too sure there is much difference between skin colour and disabled children. But thst is just me tbh
Well the fact is, there's stronger laws in place for racism than for disabilism. If the parent of the disabled kids want to press charges they're welcome to, but it's hard to determine the crime beyond hurt feelings.

I don't personally see a difference. Skin colour is simply that, skin colour. Anyone who has a different skin colour is in no way at a disadvantage whereas a vulnerable children cannot speak up for themselves.

Speaks more about our society where they still run scared from racism and neglect other areas which probably do need more protection. That's my thoughts anyway.

Gazza being charged with making a racist joke.

I'm sorry but when the likes of frankie Boyle can make whatever jokes he wants to with the aim of offending and they single someone like Gazza out then thst is just wrong. No wonder he struggles with his demons when the country is quick to shoot him down for doing what anyone else does on a daily basis .
I kind of agree with you. Gazza should not have said what he said but as usual opens mouth before engaging brain. However those comments have no place in our society and he deserved to be called to task. As for Frankie Boyle....what a vile nasty piece of work. And do you know what makes me really mad, the way Frankie Boyle is being touted as some kind of left wing darling because he criticises the Government. Yes that same Frankie Boyle who has made some truly horrendous comments about disabled people. I don't think disabled people are offered the same protection against hate crime/speech as other minority groups are.

was going to post the same about selfish road users. makes me fecking livid when we dont make the lights cos of em
The daily traffic jams caused by people who haven't got the patience to wait in a queue drive me mental. They wait until the last minute and indicate and just sit in a lane until someone lets them in, blocking one whole lane on a two lane road at rush hour. You should get penalty points for that ffs.

That is what I mean. At the end of the day joke isn't funny when it offends. And by right the security fella should have just punched gazza and be the end of it.

I just think in this case it's less about the joke and more of making an example. Said it before your average bloke down the pub doesn't get pulled into the price station for a joke, so why gazza? Hell it took a social media campaign for them to be arsed about that scum of a man who was wearing that the shirt.

Probably because he is high profile, sells newspapers and everybody is waiting for his next meltdown. I went to a Butlins 80s weekend a couple of years ago. For my sins we ended up watching Keith Harris, of Orville fame. He had a monkey with him- Cuddles(?) He was awful-racist, homophobic, crude. I was horrified but the audience loved it and nobody rushed in to arrest him.
