minor things that make you fume

This is what puts me off London.

I got a good job pretty much straight out of uni, salary is good and I'm good at doing it.

The problem is, I feel that if I ever want to progress and climb up the ladder onto bigger projects, etc. I will have to move to London.

I've saved up a fair bit without even trying while still living at home.

Better job opportunities are just so limited up here, though. I'm looking to relocate to Manchester and buy my own place there within 6 months, but even then London dwarfs it.

I'm an Assistant QS, in pretty much the same situation.

Luckily working at home atm, but I know the next job will either be Hinckley or Sellafield.

Hence Manchester or London being the most preferable at this moment in time.

Same mate, Based out of Bromborough at the minute which will see us relocate to Golborne in the new year but I have to travel down to Heathrow for 2 days a week, absolute ballache with the 4 hour drive

Interesting, I actually started at Bromborough. Before moving to Middlesbrough, then back to Capenhurst. Hoping for a city move next if I'm honest. Up to now I've only work in M & E.

I used to get this. I got so fed up of the moaning I stopped eating fish.

I got asked did I want to go to Hinkley, didn't really fancy it so turned it down.

People that slam their car doors as loud as possible 100x. We're enjoying a nice evening out on the deck for the first time since it started raining a week ago, and some idiot has slammed his car doors 10 times. It's a 2-door Miata with a trunk the size of a cat's skull. There cannot possibly be that much stuff for him to haul in, and why not just leave it open if there is?

After twenty minutes of listening to Muzak, I gave up and drove down only to be told that there are now no appointments left for this week and to come back next week.

Liverpool is not a good place to need a Doctor.
