Kittens update:

It seems my parents were mislead by the charity they got the kittens from as they were told they were shy/timid when in fact they’re feral and are absolutely terrified of us.

Unfortunately they will likely be going back.

A shame but it’s not what they signed up for at all.
I got a kitten years ago for my daughter it was feral as well, we kept it but it was never a family pet so to speak, and when it got to about 3 years old we let it out one night and it never came back in. Then about 2 years after that it come back in the garden for about 10 mins my daughter tried to get it to come in but you could tell it had turn full feral cat,it disappeared again and we never saw her again.

Yeah the impression we got was that they’d never change and they had no intention of socialising with humans. They had them for 2 weeks and I’ve never met such weird animals.

They’re being returned tomorrow and swapped with 2 new rescue kittens. I suppose it’s a bit of a dice roll with rescue animals but it’s rewarding when you get it right.
