Happy that the car I bought in January last year passed its MOT the other day. Then thought 'well, I only did 900 miles in the year, so it should have passed.

The nail had gone in at a shallow angle so it was easily removed with no serious damage to the tyre. They then checked all the tyre pressures and checked the other tyres for damage. I asked what the charge was and they said 'no charge for inspection'. Result!

My MOT runs out on 20th Feb. Thought I'd take it next week, so I've just been to my usual place to book it in, only to find the place boarded up and covered in 'To Let' signs. Going to have to find a new place now.
Like most people I've been nowhere this year but still clocked up over 6,000 miles since my last MOT.
Just the 121,000 on the clock now. Fingers crossed.

My Mum got the vaccine today.

She has been shielding, dropped all her shopping around every day, I’m her chef twice a day and distanced for tea and a chat, she sat in the kitchen as I sat on the bench outside.

First big hurdle cleared. After the 2nd jab we are dining out

Try filling the centre with currants, raisins or sultanas with a bit of mixed spice. Very nice with custard.
