Cripes, no. The reality is just as weird mind. But absolutely typical for Roydo senior.
Ordered a new washer and dryer. Lazy gets on the delivery didn't install it as "the drain hose isn't long enough" told me I would have to buy a new hose and call a serviceman out.
5 minutes after they leave I realize that they were wrong and the drainage hose is long enough. They had just left it sat there so I installed the rest. Tried to start a test wash and it wouldn't start. Go through the manual and diagnostics and find out the cold water valve isn't working and no water is coming out.
Spend an hour or so going and turning the water main on and off and switching the water supply hoses and I realize they turned the cold water supply at that tap off. Finally it is doing its first wash. Got 100 back off of the supplier since the lazy gets didn't do nowt.

Me old Daimler v8 was struggling to get over 65mph. Not good - its well looked after. After a bit of a rummage around the car's innards, fuel delivery, dash pots etc, fuel breather, filters etc. I took the distributor apart and sonically cleaned it, replaced the bearing its like new. The vacuum advance unit was failing - normally at £20 part. Not on the daimler of course -£120+vat and delivery. ☹ found one eventually at £106 delivered so reluctantly ordered it. JUST got a reply from a company called distributor doctor that I emailed about the cost of refurbishment - £40! One frantic phonecall to cancel my prior order made this morning got there just in time- they took it from the courier's hands as he was collecting so could cancel it.
