Minor things that make you happy

Yesterday my wife and I went out for lunch while my folks watched the kids. A nice place. Great meal.
Our waiter was a congenial mustachioed fellow in his 20s.
I confused my wife as I just started laughing once I looked at the check.
The waiter’s name was listed as Lt. Dangle.
When he came round, we all had a nice laugh about Reno 911.
 
I have a lot of time on my hands at the moment, and so go on regular walks etc. I was getting fed up seeing piles of rubbish in one of the places I frequent (despite there being 3 bins nearby), so I did a small litter pick. I was pleased to see when I returtned it was as I'd left it two days ago.

Might start going out in the odd evening with one of those pincer things and a bin bag.

Oh how my life has changed lol

I spent a stupid amount of money on an office chair because of neck/back problems and it's a dream to sit in.

It's full mesh too so you can fart right through the seat pan.

A fella in work has his own chair like this for back problems.
He literally chains it to his desk as well so no one else can use it !!!!

I don’t blame him, the best ones cost around £1200 new! It can make such a difference.

I can sit in this one all day with no discomfort whatsoever. I find that the more comfortable you are, the easier the actual work is.

Have had the opposite experience, was persuaded by Mr G. that the bed needed replacing although it seemed fine to me. I think the new one was made by the Spanish Inquisition, Mr G. loves it and is snoring like a stuffed pig. On the plus side I have listened to loads of interesting podcasts whiling away the small hours.lol

Aaaw thats rubbish. Hopefully you'll get used to it. I have discovered a downside - the cat also loves it and has taken to sleeping with us!

Good for you, Ange! There is nothing like a comfortable mattress and we don’t even realize how positively it would impact our health until you begin sleeping better.
