Minor things that make you happy

After years of hearing the name Purple Aki spoken of in high regards I now finally know the reason for his infamy.
My local rag Hull Daily Mail has run an article on the aforementioned legend as he has seemingly found new harvest over here in the East Riding.
To those in the know, is it true as the paper reports, been run out of Merseyside by Liverpool hard men tired of his antics?
I am 72 and he was behind the bar in the Lisbon when I was 18 .No joke ,he will go down !!! in history .

Daughter no.2 came today. Did some shopping for us and sorted some lunch for us. She then took her indoors to hospital for an X-ray on her hip. Her indoors is almost totally immobile now so I think a hip replacement is a necessity. Concerned about the NHS backlog so been searching down the back of the settee to see if we can afford to go private. They are talking in terms of 'years' for the backlog to come down and time is not on our side.
We are very lucky with our two daughters who spend a lot of their time looking out for us.

If Mrs Meth is "off legs" (a delightful medical term), and largely in a sedentary position most of the time, 2 things I would suggest.

1. Check her fluid levels, as in, not what she drinks, but if her tummy kinda gets a bit swollen, and.

2. Sodium levels. GP/District nurse can do a simple test. If in doubt, just make sure she has enough salt in her diet.

Essentially, being off legs, plus 1 and 2 is what done for Nikki.

Oh sheez, this is meant to be a happy thread ffs. Having rump steak, chips and mushrooms later.

Many thanks Roydo. Daughter no.1 is into things like Yoga, diet etc., I know she will keep an eye on these issues.
Will take no. 2 on board and keep an eye on the salt.
