Since 1990 I have owned six GSDs as well as other rescued mutts. They are fabulous family dogs but their appearance has ensured that we have never been burgled - touch wood.

I was the first on my road to get a GSD. I live in the countryside and there are now 10 GSDs in 5 houses

Winning a game of dominoes with a double six……

We used to play dominoes at lunch time in the 1960's. Losers paid a penny per spot on dominoes left in their hand. No one ever won with a double six, it was always left in some ones hand!

Watching the final of University Challenge between Imperial and Reading. It restores some faith in humanity seeing these knowledgeable types figuring out questions that may as well have been in Japanese for me.
I hope they get top jobs and save the world but I won't hold my breath.

I met lot's of brilliant types at University, experts on Tudor history or quantum physics, but they struggled to tie their shoelaces.

I just saw a bunch of youths all wearing 90s style JNCO jeans. They still look as utterly ridiculous as they did in the 90s but they brought back some good memories of squat parties and middle class kids mashed on ketamine walking around grotty raves inadvertently using their baggy trousers as mops to clean up all the piss and vomit on the floor that has been discharged throughout the evening by fellow mash heads.

Took my car to get its air conditioning repaired today. Only cost £70 and the guy was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He also fixed the rattling coming from under my car without me even asking. Great service.

Car insurance renewal going down to £320 this year.
