Minor things that make you happy

For the first time in a long time I’m genuinely enjoying my day to day work. This is the first time I’ve not had a contract in 8 years and it’s not as scary as I’d imagined. If anything the more short term nature keeps me on my toes and at my best. I especially like going to multiple different jobs. Every one is different and requires a slightly different approach so it keeps things fresh. I got sick of seeing the same office and faces after a few months, never mind years.

I’m not doing anything special, but I’m in a good small team and we’re all pulling in the same direction. No other managers to undermine me or project managers disrupting things, just genuine hard workers. It’s great to have two guys that I can actually trust.
This made me happy today.
Keep on keeping on brohim ?

Congratulations. I am long retired, but I can well remember the difference between enjoying and enduring work. I have experienced both and I know what a big deal it is to be doing a job that you enjoy. ?
Cheer mate. And you’re so right. My last job really started to affect me mentally. It’s glorious to not have that Sunday night dread any more.

Happiness is underrated these days.

EasyJet now has two separate baggage drop areas at the airport I'm in today. One area is reserved only for people who have upgraded to "speedy boarding".

When I rocked up, the queue for speedy boarding baggage drop was very short, and the other one was extremely long.

I joined the speedy boarding queue. When I got to the front, the person checking boarding passes did not care at all that mine was not a speedy boarding one, and waved me through.

A little win. But a win nonetheless. I hate queues.
