Minor things that make you happy

Whilst everything in the world seems to be becoming more expensive somehow delivering parcels has become insanely cheap !

Just sent 2 x 5kg parcels (50x50x35cm) to the other side of the country via next day Fed Ex for £6.27

Wut ???

Since @tommye brought up Sriracha recently, it made me think of yesterday's sauce of choice...it's not hot, but I do like the flavour of Poblano's. Roasted Poblano's, stuffed with Manchego cheese, mmm.

Anyhow, getting sidetracked...

After 4 months I’m within touching distance of settling my van claim and getting the outcome I want.

Hastings Direct are an utterly abhorrent company who’ve made me wait 4 months. They only got their backsides in to gear when I made a formal complaint and emailed their CEO. It completely destroyed my new business before it even got started.

Because they’d deemed the van a Cat N they paid me out in full. I’m buying it back for a third of that amount and repairs won’t cost much in relative terms. With used van prices still climbing and good ones quite rare it’s a bit of a result.

Being a polite pain in the arse always works.

It does.
The lad did much the same with Ford.
Their Explorer auto gearboxes are a 'sealed unit' to be 'serviced' at 200,000kms
1year after his warranty ran out it started playing up with 130,000kms.
After No, No, No, No, No, No, well maybe,10, 12, loads of to and from, they will supply and fit a brand new flown in from Germany - he pays for the Labour only.

(Oh, He some how also forgot to mention he drove it 30,000kms in 6mths doing a circumnavigation of Australia with the wife and 3 kids in it towing a 3tonne trailer tent 🤔 lol)
