Mirallas at the final whistle.

Baffles me the fans think having two wingers on will suddenly make things alright. He takes Cleverley off and we lose the control we had on the game. Mirallas and Del on together doesn't work. How many times do people have to watch them together to realise we don't actually win many football matches. Cleverley's the new Osman, has a good game but takes the brunt of fans moans because he's not a foreign winger who has a good game every 3 months.

To be fair we don't win many football matches regardless of who plays out wide

It baffles me that people think we shouldn't be able to play games with two wingers on when we play every game with two holding midfielders. Two dms and we still have holes like Swiss cheese.

Things must be bad when we're hanging our hopes on the liability that is Mirallas.

*sighs

First of all, I don't see anyone 'hanging their hopes' on him, but people have a right to ask why he's not been getting the time he warrants. Also it's about getting down to the root cause, and well all know what (Or rather, who) that is.

Secondly, if he's a liability - what does that make a few of the others? Barkley 'plays' like that yesterday, and he's boss?

Mirallas cares about nothing but himself. He should have been hoofed last summer. Nothing he has done since has convinced me otherwise.

Like someone said earlier - There was no problems with Mirallas during moylez, and none during martinez first season...

I agree mate. I'm sure playing with two wingers under a different manager would work great.

I'm not so sure about the mirralas shouts. we were on top and threatening, but the whole reason we were on top is because the likes of mccarthy, cleverly, stones and jags were hounding the the united midfield and winning the ball back. If we would have subbed say cleverly for mirralas (another out and out attack minded player) i think united would have completly took over the midfield and dominated possession. I dont think we would have had half the chances due to not having much of the ball. I know we ended up losing but martinez cant see into the future, he has to play the here and now and the fact is the players he had on the pitch were doing good enough and making enough chances to score a couple more.

Yes, it is hard to see what difference Mirallas would have made in that period.

We were ripping them apart at will and it was only poor finishing, particularly from Rom, which killed us.

There was one farcical moment he jumped and headed a ball he was never controlling over the bar just as it was dropping perfectly for Besic storming in behind him.

and then the ego kicked back in.

Mirallas is a liability. He's proven this time and again. Apart from the odd flash of something every 5 or 6 games he offers nothing.

Tommye it's undeniable that given a consistent run, he's our most creative player. That's not up for debate because it's patently obvious. The stats back it up.

He's got onto el blend before the rest of us have seen it. That's why el blend has played hardball with him and nobody else. As far as I'm concerned the fault lies with martinez and nobody else.

Playing osman or cleverley ahead of him out wide?! Pshaw! (n)

Good question. Here's another. How many times have they both played together? Genuine doubt. I honestly can't remember.
