Modern phrases that drive you nuts

'Corporate memory' and 'We can flex that'. Two phrases used multiple times in a meeting today.

A phrase I think is newish, "Zoning out". I like it, perfectly describes that short spell where you drift away from someone or something tediously boring in an act of reflex self preservation.

I could go on and on. Sitting in corporate meetings is like nails on a chalkboard.
I completely turn it round by 'extreme joining in'. In those meetings I will make up those most ludicrous phrase and throw them into the conversation.
Hardly ever asked to explain:
'Bypassing the gangway'
'Straddling the kerb'
'Shuffling the cutlery'
'Putting the peel back on the orange'
'Locking the bathroom cupboard from the inside'.

Much fun.
