This will definitely go down as the best signing in this window by any club. Could have walked into any club this lad and i doubt any of them would have gotten a deal as good as Brands did.

Great start to what should hopefully be an exciting and busy week. :)

I wonder why other clubs haven’t gone in for him? There’s plenty of others who could offer higher wages, European football etc

They were all pretty upset about the rumours he was coming...

Then it escalated until today...

Now they cant believe its not €50mil ++...i think the lowest theyre saying they expected was €40mil + clauses and a buyback.

Theyre not happy bunnies.

Yep! Basically they think their board are a bunch of inept softies with no backbone. Selling him is one thing.. selling him for what they did is making it nuclear !

Making for lovely reading as an Evertonian and my respect for Brands has never been higher!

You absolute dancer.

This has made my summer. I hope we have truly found our Lukaku replacement.

Going to a wedding today and now I can keep my phone in my pocket. Happy days.

I genuinely think we have found more than our next Lukaku.. I was and am a huge Lukaku fan for how he performed for us and don’t care what he’s done since or hasn’t done..

But I think this kid might have a lot more arrows to his skill set than Lukaku did.. I’m patient though ... happy to watch him settle in.. it’s just nice to have a striker who can put his laces through a ball..

....he was entering the final year of his contract so Juventus didn’t have the strongest hand. I think once Raiola made it clear his client was off to Everton, Brands was able to exploit the situation and bag a bargain.

Exactly.. first rule of negotiation is understanding your opponents weakness... and this was a massive one for them. They had little muscle if the player himself wanted out, which according to a few on that site he did owing to the racial abuse he got..

....I imagine Raiola is the key factor in the players destination. Agrees with Brands that Everton is the best fit for his client and that’s the end of it. Regular football, and a possible stepping stone to the games elite if he makes a success of it here.
